The Highest-paid MotoGP Riders
Marc Marquez
The six-time champion and the highest paid Marc Marquez signed a four years contract with Repsol Honda which will run until 2024. He will be given a total of $54 million including other sponsorship bonuses. Repsol Honda pays him $12 million annually. He is the youngest rider who reaches the peak of fame and success. Spanish Marc Marquez is also called “Ant of Cervera” which means Thunder of Cervera.
Fabio Quartararo
The Frenchmen Fabio Quartararo signed a new contract with Monster Energy Yamaha. With this deal, the world Champion Quartararo will be with the Yamaha squad until 2024. His team Monster Energy Yamaha pays him $6 million yearly.
Joan Mir
Joan rode Suzuki in the 2020 MotoGP Championship and became champion with Suzuki. As soon as winning the championship his salary increased. He signed a two years contract with Suzuki for the following two seasons. He will be given around $14 million with others sponsorship. His annual salary at Suzuki is approximately $6 million. 25-year-old Spanish young rider holds the fourth position on the scale of salary.
Pol Espargaro
Spanish racer Pol Espargaro signed two years contract with Honda HRC. It will run until 2022 and he will get more than $7 million from this contract. At age 15, he participated in Spanish 125cc Championship and placed sixth. After being fired from KTM in 2021 he was hired by Honda in the following year. When he was in KTM he got $1.5 million in a year but within a year his salary increased to $3.5 million at Honda.
Franco Morbidelli
Italian motorcycle racer Franco Morbidelli is committed to Monster Energy Yamaha to stay here until the 2023 season. In 2013 he participated in the European Superstock 600 championship and became the champion. Now he is preparing for the next Championship with the World Champion Fabio Quartararo at the same factory Monster Energy Yamaha. His annual salary at Yamaha is about $3.5 million and it is the fifth highest salary in MotoGP.
